There is nothing more beautiful than a woman embracing the gorgeousness of her pregnant self. Add in the perfect Winter’s day, an idyllic setting, an already beautiful girl with a contagious sense of adventure and her scene-stealing dog…what can I possibly say? Stunning. Stunning. Stunning.
And now I wait with bated breath; any day now I get to meet the teeny tiny Miss or Mister :) So very happy and excited to hear the news.

Two thirds of this cousin crew traveled around the world to spend the holidays with their Canadian family. They left the sun and warmth of their summer in favour of a White Christmas…well a cold Christmas anyway :)
I had the pleasure of spending a sunny, snow-dusted morning with them as they played and explored. They played as though they had played together every day of their lives. I love that.
I have a feeling that the distance between them will end up having very little impact on the closeness of these cousins :)
I can’t think of a Christmas gift more lovely than the safe arrival of a healthy baby. And I’m fairly certain that Baby Owen was the best present to be found under the tree for his Mommy, Daddy and two big brothers :)
Just before the holidays I headed to Toronto to meet 5 day old Owen. It was my second session with this sweet family as part of his Baby’s First Year package.
So much joy and love to celebrate during a very special time of year.

Remember baby Ellie? It’s hard to believe it, but this little star is already four months old! Playful, and happy, and…perfect.
This was our second session together as part of her Baby’s First Year package. I love getting to capture the progress of these amazing little ones. I can’t help but be excited to see how much Ellie has grown when we meet again in a few short months. Until then, sweet girl :)
Scotland is the birthplace of my parents; it is home to people that I want in my life. Always. It is the place I go to connect with my family and my friends, but over the years it has become so much more to me.
It is a place that stirs my soul, but in the very same instant it affects a tremendous sense of calm and belonging that only a soul at peace can know.
It will always be where I go. Simple. And in September I got to share it with my little family. Heart.
The beauty; the culture; the people; the history; the mythology…there are no words that do justice to the love I have for this place. Perhaps a peek at my personal photographs just might :)

Behold one of the sweetest little families you will ever encounter; made up of some of the dearest people in my life.
In September our little family journeyed to Scotland to visit our friends. Camera in hand, and in spite of their protests, I managed to coerce them into quick wee family shoot :) Just like at home…apart from the thousand year old ruins.

The very lovely and talented, Olga invited me to photograph one of her most recent residential projects – her home.
From the moment I walked in I was struck by how bright and airy the spaces were – gorgeous! With a style that is a mix of classic and contemporary elements (with a touch of whimsy), this home is a perfect example of what can happen when she works her magic.
My little buddy Cameron is no stranger to this blog. I have been photographing him and his family since he was in his Mommy’s belly!
On the day of our session, it was windy (!!!!). It was, difficult-to-stand-up, bending-creaking-trees kind of windy – but Cameron and his parents were relaxed and had fun, as always. I love that.
